Amy Tapper, the former Gogglebox star who captivated audiences with her family’s candid living room commentary, has become a beacon of resilience after shedding an astonishing six stone in a transformative health journey that has captivated her social media following. The reality TV personality, who left the Channel 4 show in 2018, recently shared a heartfelt video on Instagram capturing the exact moment she discovered her achievement, exclaiming, “Wow wow wow 6 stone down!! I cannot believe it – I am so proud of myself… I promise I will share more of my journey soon there’s just so much to say I’m figuring out my best way to do it.” The emotional clip shows her leaping into the arms of her trainer, Natasha Ram, whom she credits as both a fitness guide and emotional anchor, adding, “Here’s to the next stone and more @tashelite.fitness you are not only my personal trainer but truly a friend and more like a therapist – I couldn’t do any of this without you and your ongoing support, thank you for everything.”
Fans flooded the comments with messages like “Absolutely incredible! Beyond proud of you” and “Amazing. Well done. Keep up the hard work,” celebrating her dedication to strength training, boxing, and tailored workout plans developed over three years. This milestone follows her earlier five-stone loss announcement in February, when she reflected, “Officially five stone down and couldn’t be happier… Never thought I’d be able to reach this milestone so I think I can say I’m proud of myself,” alongside before-and-after photos that highlighted her dramatic transformation. Tapper’s journey, marked by consistency and professional guidance, began gaining momentum in 2022 when she reported losing three stone and 33cm from her waist through structured nutrition and gym routines, later incorporating advanced strength exercises like kettlebell squats and tricep kickbacks.
The motivation behind her weight loss stems partly from enduring cruel remarks about her body during her Gogglebox tenure, with the star revealing to the Daily Mail, “My dad and I would both get nasty comments about our weight and I’d also get people criticising my voice for being too loud… There were people on Twitter calling us ‘the fat family from Gogglebox’.” Despite these challenges, Tapper’s resolve remained unshaken, as she once vowed to pose nude upon reaching her goal, telling Closer Magazine, “I’ve always thought I had a nice face but I never been happy with my body and I’m hell bent on turning that around.” Her openness about overhauling her wardrobe and mental health struggles has resonated deeply with supporters, who continue to cheer her progress as she eyes future milestones with the same determination that brought her this far.
