A man has been charged with the suspected murder of Tracey Davies, a 48-year-old woman found dead in Cefn Cribwr, Bridgend. Police responded shortly after 9:15 pm on Friday, April 18, following concerns about the welfare of two individuals at a property on Bryn Terrace. Upon arrival, officers discovered Tracey Davies’ body, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Michael Davies, 56, from Cefn Cribwr, was arrested at the location on suspicion of her murder. On Sunday, April 27, he was officially charged and is due to appear at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Monday, April 28.
The victim’s next of kin have been notified. Detective Inspector Claire Lamerton of the Major Crime Investigation Team described the incident as deeply upsetting for the Cefn Cribwr community and confirmed that police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the case.
