Neil Jones, the beloved Strictly Come Dancing professional, has received an outpouring of support from his fellow cast members as he joyfully shared exciting news with his fans. Taking to social media, the dancer announced, “the news is out,” expressing his enthusiasm about returning to the dance floor. Neil will once again showcase his skills in the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, set to air this autumn.
Fans won’t have to wait until the show’s launch to see Neil in action, as he revealed plans to participate in several dance workshops, including one in Swansea.
This announcement follows the BBC’s confirmation that Neil will be among the professional dancers returning for the 23rd series of Strictly, which promises to be a thrilling season. Alongside Neil, familiar faces such as Amy Dowden, Nadiya Bychkova, Katya Jones, Karen Hauer, and Nikita Kuzmin will also grace the stage.
Other returning stars include Dianne Buswell, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas, and Vito Coppola, all set to dazzle audiences once again.
Adding to the excitement, two new professional dancers will be introduced as the series launch approaches, according to Devon Live. Neil expressed his gratitude on Instagram, saying, “I can’t believe it’s going to be a decade that I have been a pro on @bbcstrictly so to everyone that supports me and the show, thank you and I can’t wait to continue entertaining the nation.”
Addressing both supporters and critics, Neil encouraged positivity: “To the rest, come on it’s about time you switch from being a hater to actually enjoying life and give me some love but if not no worries because I will continue with the good vibes and energy and being part of the show I love the most plus spreading my love and knowledge of dance that I have collected over the past 4 decades and over 45 titles worldwide.”
Before his return to television, Neil plans to share his expertise through workshops designed for dance enthusiasts eager to learn from the seasoned professional.
On Instagram, Neil delighted followers with a captivating video featuring world champion dancer Craig Shaw, announcing, “The news is out @prepdance on tour is coming to a city near you. 3 incredible dance workshops with two World champions @mr_craigshaw and @mr_njonesofficial and a special Strictly guest.
You can book now online via the link in my Profile.” He also revealed the initial workshop dates, including Swansea on May 20th, Dublin on June 10th, Belfast on June 11th, and Glasgow on June 14th, with Kai Widdrington joining the tour, urging fans to book quickly as places are limited.
The announcement sparked enthusiastic reactions from Neil’s Strictly colleagues, with Carlos Gu exclaiming, “Woohoooo!” and Karen Hauer showing her support with emoji claps and a spirited “yesssss.” Fans also expressed their excitement, with one commenting, “Amazing! best of luck with it!” and another adding, “How exciting, can’t wait for Birmingham.”
Affectionate praise poured in as well, with remarks like “Love it!” and simply “Brilliant,” reflecting the widespread anticipation for Neil’s upcoming projects.
