Serving military personnel and veterans across Wales can travel free on for Wales rail services during this year’s Remembrance period. The initiative allows eligible individuals to use all TfW rail lines without charge, provided they carry valid military identification or are in uniform.
Free travel on all TrawsCymru bus services will also be available on Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day, though Friday travel is excluded from the bus concession. Armed Forces personnel, veterans, and cadets will additionally enjoy free bus travel on Stagecoach services throughout the Remembrance period.
To claim the rail concession, serving personnel must travel in uniform or present a valid MOD90 Ministry of Defence-issued identity card. Veterans not in uniform are required to show specific eligible identification documents to access the free travel offer.
