Gwynedd swimming pool to close for two-and-a-half weeks
Tywyn Leisure Centre confirms Bro Dysynni Swimming Pool will close until 26 November for new air treatment system installation due to safety concerns.
Bro Dysynni Swimming Pool in Gwynedd will close for two-and-a-half weeks to address safety concerns regarding its air treatment system. Tywyn Leisure Centre confirmed that technical problems necessitate the installation of a new unit to ensure safe operations for both customers and staff.
“As a result, a new system needs to be installed to ensure that the swimming pool continues to operate safely for both our customers and staff,” a pool spokesperson said. “Consequently, the swimming pool will need to close temporarily while the installation work takes place.”
The facility is expected to reopen on Thursday, 26 November, following the completion of the essential maintenance work. The leisure centre management acknowledged the disruption, stating: “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
“We are doing our best to minimise the impact on our customers and the services we provide,” the spokesperson added. “The rest of the leisure centre will remain open as usual.”
“Thank you for your patience and understanding,” the statement concluded. The swimming pool is part of a Byw’n Iach leisure centre, which continues to offer its other facilities to the public during the closure period.
