A new wellness destination has opened its doors at the five‑star Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, offering a blend of cutting‑edge recovery facilities and a health‑focused café.
The LLL WELL Café and Wellness Club, launched by the founders of the Love Live Light Healing Hub, sits beside the resort’s Forum Health Club and is already attracting fitness enthusiasts, spa‑goers and local residents.
Visitors can pause for a protein‑rich smoothie or an acai bowl before a workout, or unwind with a ceremonial matcha after a session in the gym.
The menu is built around functional ingredients – collagen, medicinal mushrooms and adaptogens – aimed at supporting performance, longevity and overall wellbeing.
Beyond food, the club houses a private infrared sauna and a dedicated ice‑bath suite, both designed to accelerate recovery after intense exercise.
Guests may also book a 40‑minute Normatec pressotherapy massage, a treatment that uses dynamic air compression in specialised leg boots to boost circulation and reduce muscle soreness.
Founders Rico Zulkarnain and Tess Alonzi, both Newport‑born, described the opening as a “dream opportunity”.
“This is a dream opportunity for Tess and me”. We’re big believers in divine timing and recently found a photograph of us celebrating Christmas at the Celtic Manor Resort.
Without knowing what the future held, we were standing right outside what would become the new LLL WELL Café and Wellness Club. Seeing that photograph again felt like a wonderful moment of synchronicity.
The LLL WELL brand first opened its flagship venue in Pontcanna five years ago and has built a reputation for delivering innovative recovery experiences in a relaxed, social setting.
Julie Hammond, group chief executive officer of The Celtic Collection, said the addition reflects shifting guest expectations.
