Llanteg Hall packs October with community classes and screenings
From Pilates and craft meet‑ups to a documentary screening, Llanteg Hall’s October timetable offers diverse activities for residents.
Llanteg Hall has unveiled a packed October programme, offering a mix of fitness classes, craft gatherings, worship sessions and a documentary screening for the village and surrounding communities.
The village hall, long regarded as the social heart of Llanteg, continues to provide space for residents of all ages to meet, learn and celebrate shared interests.
On Thursday 1 October the hall will host a mixed‑ability Pilates Stretch class, with participants urged to pre‑book by contacting Janet Taylor on 07792 942860.
Four days later, at 6 pm on Sunday 4 October, Grace Church will open its doors for a welcoming service that includes a cuppa, praise, worship and prayer, with further details available from Dave Tubbs on 07932 139379.
Mid‑week on Wednesday 7 October, a Craft Meet‑up will run from 1 pm to 4 pm, inviting hobbyists to bring their latest projects for a chat and a cuppa; enquiries can be sent to the hall’s email address.
During the same slot the Community Library will be open, offering residents access to books and resources while the craft session unfolds.
Thursday 8 October repeats the Pilates Stretch class, again requiring advance booking with Janet Taylor, reinforcing the hall’s commitment to health and wellbeing.
Saturday 10 October sees the Quirky Quilters gathering from 10 am to 4 pm, a welcoming environment for new members to explore textile art, with Charlotte and Tina available via their respective email contacts.
On Monday 12 October the Crunwere Creative Art Group will meet from 1 pm to 4 pm, providing a creative outlet for local artists; the Community Library will also be open for the afternoon.
Organisers have reminded participants that the deadline for the autumn/winter community newsletter is 15 October, with submissions to be sent to the hall’s dedicated email address.
Saturday 17 October at 7 pm, Llanteg and Amroth Renaturing Community will screen the documentary “The People’s Emergency Briefing”, a film that examines local environmental challenges; further details will be announced closer to the date.
The diverse schedule reflects the hall’s role in fostering both physical activity and cultural enrichment, a balance that village leaders say is vital for rural cohesion.
Local volunteer coordinator Megan Hughes noted that the variety of events helps attract a broader cross‑section of the community, from retirees to young families.
“We aim to make the hall a place where anyone can find something that resonates with them,” she said, adding that the upcoming documentary will spark important conversations about sustainability in the region.
Attendance at previous Pilates sessions and craft meet‑ups has consistently exceeded expectations, prompting organisers to maintain pre‑booking requirements to manage capacity.
With the autumn newsletter deadline looming, organisers encourage residents to contribute stories, photographs and announcements, ensuring the publication reflects the vibrancy of village life.
As October unfolds, Llanteg Hall stands ready to welcome neighbours for a month of shared experiences, reinforcing its reputation as a cornerstone of community spirit in Pembrokeshire.
